Mt. Bierstadt

Mount Bierstadt sitting at 14,065 ft. one of Colorado's beautiful 14er's. With Sawtooth Ridge that connects to Mount Evans this can be a challenging combo to conquer. We made it to the summit of Bierstadt fairly easy and feeling optimistic about our ability to cross over Sawtooth and on over to Mount Evans.

I'm not going to lie...Sawtooth kicked our asses. With each step we became increasingly defeated and started to eyeball any suitable route that might take us back down to the car. After 10 hours of crawling over boulders, sliding down rocky slopes and trudging through what felt like endless muddy swamp fields with a thunderstorm rolling in we made it back to our car. I'm going to have to say the score on this one was Colorado-1 Us-0
